Qarshi to Kasan: how to get there and where to go next
Kasan is an important junction in north-western Kashkadarya, with roads to Bukhara and towards Muborak. What to know about the short trip from Qarshi.

Kasan is a district centre in the north-west of the Kashkadarya region, on the way from Qarshi towards Bukhara. It is a small town, but its position makes it an important transfer point: road and rail links that connect Kashkadarya with the Bukhara region pass through it. If you are planning a trip around the region, Kasan can be a useful stop or the end point of your route.
Distance and travel time
It is about 75 to 90 kilometres from Qarshi to Kasan along a flat highway. The drive takes around an hour to an hour and a half by car. The view is fairly level: fields, steppe, the occasional settlement. The asphalt is generally good, but sections under repair can slow traffic. The road is busy with trucks, especially in the cotton and grain transport season.
In summer it is very hot by day, and in winter fog and wind are possible. If you are driving yourself, check your fuel level: there are fewer stations on the highway between the towns than you might like.
How to get there
Train
Kasan is on the railway, and trains arrive here from Qarshi and other towns in the region. Rail suits you if you are not in a hurry and want to arrive calmly without thinking about road conditions. The timetable depends on direction and season, so check it in advance in the railway app. Tickets can be bought at the office or online, and prices change.
Buses and minibuses
Minivans and buses run between Qarshi and Kasan. They are inexpensive, but departure depends on the cabin filling. Stops on the way add time. Take compact luggage, as room on minibuses is limited.
Taxi

Many drivers travel daily between Qarshi and Kasan or continue towards Bukhara. They take passengers to share costs. In the Yo'ldosh app you book one seat and see the departure time and the driver's profile. It is cheaper than a taxi for the whole car and more flexible than a bus timetable.
